Of the unobligated balances of amounts made available under section 106(a) of the CHIPS Act of 2022 ([Public Law 117–167](https://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/PLAW-117publ167/pdf/PLAW-117publ167.pdf); 136 Stat. 1392), $850,000,000 are permanently rescinded.
